Deb Balliet, Principal
Deb brings over 20 years of progressive development experience to ADS clients. She has direct experience in planning and implementing annual funds, major gifts, campaigns, board development programs, and management. Deb excels in entrepreneurial environments, programs in building and growth phases, and start-ups.
Deb is known for consistently delivering program excellence and financial results. She has been recognized by management, staff and donors for outstanding ethics, a willingness to take risks, and a structured/self-disciplined approach to assignments. She possesses collaborative relationship building skills, natural leadership abilities, and is known as an effective coach and trainer. Deb is recognized for outstanding collaboration with Board of Directors and volunteers, as well as for cultivating meaningful relationships with individual gift prospects. She has demonstrated performance excellence particularly in program planning and implementation, systems development, leadership and for being a champion of change.

Deb’s experience includes 16 years in development for education (public and private) with additional years spent working with healthcare, environmental, humane and cultural organizations. Her experience in higher education includes Syracuse University, the University of Vermont, State University of New York at Oswego, and Union College. Other organizations for which she has worked include National Audubon Society, Colburn National Foundation, and Northeast Health.
Deb also shares her expertise through volunteer work with organizations in her community including the Saratoga Therapeutic Equestrian Program and the Regional Food Bank. Through ADS, she offers pro bono workshops and seminars for professional organizations such as the Association for Fund-Raising Professionals, Gift Planning Group, and Women in Development.

In The Off Hours
Deb enjoys travel, the outdoors, animals, and riding and training horses. Her current project is riding and training GMG DevilMadeMeDoIt (otherwise known as Taz), a 15.2 hand appendix registered quarter horse. She frequently trail rides in New York's Adirondack Mountains and in neighboring states.
Deb also likes to volunteer for at least one horse or animal related charity on a regular basis. Her current project is assisting The Equus Projects/ Dancing with Horses with issues of general fund-raising and governance.
